Inspired by my father I developed a keen interest in photography and became fascinated by the camera's eye on the world of nature.
Over the past 8 years I have fulfilled my desire to learn this art at a deeper level by following photography courses and workshops, with a special preference for macro and nature photography in general and landscapes in particular.
This exhibition is a reflection of impressions I received during 5 trips to Greenland where, on board of a Russian research vessel, I was able to visit the Scorsby Sund, a beautiful impressive fjord on the sparsely populated east coast as well as to participate in expeditions to the more densely inhabitied west coast where I sailed on a small duth sailing ship.
I hope I have managed to convey through these photo's, the intense beauty of Kalaallit Nunaat, which means "Land of people".
